An original Canadian production, Franny's Feet is a delightfully illustrative digital 2D animated children's TV series produced by DHX Media and debuted on the CBC in 2004. The show is targeted toward preschool aged children and introduces racial and cultural differences around the world, thoughtfully touching on disabilities while combining vocabulary development and global learning with age-appropriate storytelling.

Five-year-old Francis "Franny" Fantootsie helps her Grandpa work in his shoe repair shop in Vancouver Canada. When a customer comes in to have their shoes repaired, she brings them into the storage backroom to be repaired, slips on the shoes and finds herself and the audience far from home on magical new adventures with new friends determined by what type of shoe she wears. Each shoe is appropriate to a location around the World including a fishing trawler in the middle of the Atlantic, a sunny beach in Jamaica, a high mountain in China, or a tea ceremony in Japan. Franny often finds ways to help the new friends she meets solve their problems including the cowboy who's afraid of horses or the fearsome Yeti who really just needs someone to talk to. Franny always tries to help them with their predicament.

She makes a friend of the audience, sharing her feelings, fears and advice while teaching them along the way about empathy, cooperation and appreciating the diversity in others. The adventures that Franny experiences go well beyond the day to day activities of school and home. The U.S. version also invites participation from the television viewer.
